React Miami is one of the leading React conferences in the US —and it all started right here at G2i.
Back in 2021, when most companies were still hesitant to host in-person events, G2i’s CEO, Gabe Greenberg, and Program Director Michelle Bakels decided to take a bold step: create a space where the React community could come together again. That idea became React Miami.
Today, just a few years later, React Miami has grown into one of the biggest tech events in South Florida—recognized and loved by the React community across the country and around the world.
Developers, engineers, and creators from every corner of the React ecosystem gather in Miami each year to connect, share knowledge, and celebrate the future of frontend development—all under the Miami sun.
Each year, it brings together absolute legends in the industry, from open-source contributors and framework creators to founders and senior engineers shaping the future of React.
Our first React Miami kicked off in 2022, and the upcoming 2026 edition marks our fifth year running the conference. Last year was a milestone; we sold out for the first time, welcoming attendees from 40+ states, 20+ countries, and awarding 100+ scholarships. The community showed up in a way that still gives us chills.
Over the past four years and now heading into our fifth, Michelle Bakels has turned React Miami’s sponsorship program into something extraordinary.
